It's Family Time Again! ~Southern Utah Family Photographer

Every year at Thanksgiving I retake all the family pictures for my family and my extended family.  This year my brother's family and I needed to add our new babies to the family.  Here are my favorite pictures of the two shoots.

These photos I have printed on wrapped canvas's and hanging in my living room.  I LOVE them!

Yes, this is hanging in my house, because this is what we usually look like.  And even more so with 5 kids now.
This is my brother's darling family.  I didn't have to move any heads to get this shot, it was amazing!

The sun was setting here in Layton (where these were taken) so this mushy couple let me take some silhouette photos.  Love this one!

Number FIVE! ~Southern Utah Infant Photographer

I am officially a mommy five times now and this is my little guy!  Isn't he just adorable!?!  I had the hardest time taking pictures of this little guy, why?  Because for two weeks every time he was sleeping soundly enough to take pictures I was sleeping, taking care of household things, or playing with my other kids.  And . . .  I just couldn't disturb the cute little guy.  But I finally stole a couple of hours and did it.  Besides, the grandparents wanted to see more photos and show him off.

This is often the look I get when he is awake . . . looking around, listening, searching, learning, etc.  I love how attentive he is when he is awake - except at 3:00am!

I love the little 'birdie' arms and legs.
This is the "I'm hungry mommy!" look.  Which just means I have an extra excuse to hold him more often than anyone else :)

Look at the huge pom-poms on this hat . . . it is just fun.  He often sleeps on me in this fashion and I love staring into his darling little face.  It's hard to put him down; in fact with so many siblings this little guy is almost always being held.

Oh yes, even the photographer has trouble with her own baby. LOL  But I thought all the grandparents would love to see him even when he is upset.

the {T} Family ~Southern Utah Family Photographer

This family and our family have a fun history together. Back in the day, the adults (all 4 of us) worked at KFC together. My husband and I were married and these two were dating still. Now, we are in the same ward and have children that are the same ages. He likes to remind me how much he hated opening KFC with me because he had to listen to my country music. LOL Now, we just laugh and joke about the good-old-days. Honestly, I'd never guess we'd be friends, but it has been so fun to watch each other grow up and see our families grow. We love you!

Okay, I couldn't pick just one favorite family photo from these guys (and there are still more to choose from).  I've been waiting to shoot a family in this location for a long time.  When she asked me to do this for their family, there was not doubt where I wanted to do it.  It just fit their personalities perfectly.  And look how cute the kids are in every photo - amazing!

All the photos look amazing in color and in black n' white, it was so hard to choose which one I like best.

What fun huh!  I love taking candid shots.

This kid is so smart and he'll tell you all about it.  He loves to talk . . . the tricky part is getting him to smile without talking LOL

I don't think I took one bad shot of this little beauty!  and isn't the hat a perfect touch?  Love it!

Ahh yes, the typical two year old.  Run from the camera, hide from the camera, and never look at the camera!  My son does this too, but in the end I will surprise you!

Of course the 'random' family shot.  What are they looking at?  The airplane flying over head, of course.  I also got a darling one of them all looking at me.  I had so much fun you guyz, thanks!

Precious {S} ~Southern Utah Infant Photographer

Doesn't she look like an angel in this photo!  A good friend of mine asked me to take her newborn baby girls pictures outside.  This was a first for me and I wondered if it would be to cold or be hard to sooth her.  However, she proved to be the angel that she looks like in these photos.  It was so much fun, I hope I have more requests for outside infant photoshoots.

I love this little chair and isn't it so darling how babies will sleep in any position that seems comfortable to them.  I love how her arm is just hanging out (her own idea), mine was tucked up sweetly by her head.  LOL
Black and white is always flattering to a newborn, so I thought I'd add a few shots here.  Does she remind anyone else of Anne of Green Gables as she is floating down the river quoting a book to herself?  Super cute!

And there just comes a time when they are "done!"  Only I love this photo because I have seen this face on my friends other kids when they get upset.  Definately a {Z} baby!

Sweet and Sassy {L} ~Southern Utah Child Photographer

I have been privilaged to do photoshoots for this awesome age a few times and I love it!  It's so fun to meet them and to capture their fun personalities.  This darling girl was super fun.  She was cute, crazy, and sassy - making me laugh the entire time.

the {G} Family ~Southern Utah Family Photographer

I love this picture.  The colors are so bright and the bond between twin sisters here is just darling!

What a darling family this is.  Thanks guys for asking me to take your pictures.  You did a great job! It was hot, the sun was shining in your eyes, and you were very patient with each other.  We were able to get family, kids, individuals, and the twins all in one setting - that's great!

I love the random, "do what you want to pose!"  How cute is this.

Spring has come to the {L} Family ~Southern Utah Family Photographer

What a beatutiful famliy this is.  I love these pictures against the white and brown backgrounds.  To do a portait sitting with these many family arrangements is really fun.  These will make a beautiful arrangement on their wall.
