The Magic of Christmas

 

One of my favorite parts of the Christmas season is the MAGIC and WONDER!!  Baby's first Christmas is full of these things.  Not only are they learning to grab, sit, talk, etc. but all these shining balls and magical lights are so new and exciting!  I wanted to capture the magic during this fun photoshoot, so I did a couple different lighting techniques.  Here I used "bokeh" lighting to create a festive mood, full of wonder and excitement.

 

 

I used flash to give a fun, soft look as this little angel was checking out the sparkles!! and trying to figure out how to get one in her mouth .. lol!

 

 

Love this ... I used the bokeh to light her from the back and the Christmas lights to light her face (all other lights were out).  This is really fun 'mood' shot that really captures the wonder of the season!!!

 This little angel was just that ... and ANGEL!  Although she was bit old for an infant photoshoot, she still cooperated pretty good. She was wide eyed for a bit, then slept for bit.  Just a delicate little butterfly and tiny little thing.  I love, love, love her blue eyes also, they are just bright!  And that curly hair - just like her dad :)  Adorable!

While visiting family over Halloween we were able to squeeze in a little extra time to take these pictures of my new nephew.  He was such a good little boy! So adorable!

This is my niece ... awe!!!  Isn't she beautiful!  She get's it from me LOL!  I had SOO much fun doing this photoshoot.  It was the first one I've done when mom AND dad were present.  I shot tons of black and whites and did some family shots also.  It was so much fun to have my brother there to hold his baby girl ... I got some great shots, and I loved watching him interact with his darling little daughter.  What a perfect dad and mom you guys are, already!  I hope you guys like them, and grandma ... good luck choosing your favorite!

 

This first pose (above) is silly, but cute.  It has special meaning to our family.

 

 

My brother loves to eat her tiny little feet.  It's so funny and made an adorable picture.

 

 

I talked them into this last shot because I knew she'd grow out of this darling hat before they brought her back to me to take a photo of her in it.

I love how each infant photoshoot is different.  Look how beautiful this darling little girl looks.  She was so good natured.  I've spent the slow months crocheting new hats and covers, as well as made a purchased a few new props in preparation for the fall baby season.  We had so much to choose from it was hard to know what to do.  As you can tell it's the baby that really makes the photo perfect.

 

Included on the CD is each photo in color and in black and white.  I love color, but black and white make timeless photographs

Sweet Baby {L} ~Southern Utah Infant Photographer

{L} was a little angel to photograph.  She was happy when she was awake and easy to move when she was sleeping.   

I love baby feet!

 

The tutu made a beautiful soft touch, just perfect.

 

 

The cupcake hat was the cutiest little touch, love it!

What a beatutiful famliy this is.  I love these pictures against the white and brown backgrounds.  To do a portait sitting with these many family arrangements is really fun.  These will make a beautiful arrangement on their wall.
