Little Monster ~Southern Utah Child Photographer

I took this kiddo's pictures a year ago (how they grow).  His mother said he was a good boy last year, but had turned into a monster - thus the monster hat, outfit, and snuggly.  Every time I said, "Come sit in these tires," or "Let's sit on this barrel," he told me "No."  LOL  Even though he said he didn't want to he moved around easily and smiled for me, and made fun faces (I love the silly faces).  He was a good kid.  He particularly loved throwing rocks in the nearby stream (all boys love that).  He even let me wear his monster hat, but told me I wasn't a monster (how kind) LOL  So much fun!  I had a great time and as always got many adorable shots.

Scrapbook Day ~Southern Utah Child Photographer

A few moms have gotten together and decided to teach their 7 year old girls random skills and talents.  I was fortunate enough to join this group and have loved it.  The moms take turns teaching these 4 girls a different skill, once a week for four weeks.  They have done cooking and voice lessons already (and a few other things before I joined the group).  Now that it's my turn I am teaching them scrapbooking . . .  but I thought it would be fun to take their pictures first.  I told them to wear their favorite outfit and we'd take darling pictures . . .  these are my favorite pictures of each girl.

This is my 5 year old who gets to join us for scrapbooking also.

Then we took pictures of specific things for the books.  The first book is "All About Me."  I needed pictures of their height, hair, eyes, smile, and darling poses.  The second book we are making is a "Favorites" so they have their favorite stuffed animal, treat, shoes, bag, color, and book.  These are random shots I took show these items.  Supper fun and we did all 5 girls in 2 hours - whooooo!  The last book we will make is a "Silly Faces" book.  I'm justing going to take pictures of them making silly faces when they visit for scrapbooking.  I'll post the books later.  I am so excited and glad they allowed me to join this group.

Frills and Jewelry ~Southern Utah Child Photographer

I had a blast photographing this beautiful little girl.  I did her pictures when she was a baby and it has been so fun to watch her grow and then take more pictures (isn't that what we do).  Last time we put her in tutu's so this time we had some more fun.  Last time she didn't fully appreciate all the frills and jewelry, this time she loved it.  She put on every neclace and bracelet, just to take them off again . . . and then put them on again.  I just snapped away and laughed.  Let's do it again next year.

Love how her personality shines through in these shots!

Santa's Helpers ~Southern Utah Child Photographer

So this post is about four months late . . . baby #5 has kept me very busy the past six months and I was just happy to have 30 minutes to get these pictures of my silly kids during the holidays last year.  I took these for a scrapbooking mini album I made.  I knew I wanted them in red shirts, with elf hats (I bought 2 years ago), on a black background.  Of course the baby didn't have a red shirt, but his elf hat was different anyway.  I also knew that I didn't want 'perfect children shots,' I wanted my kids being silly and casual.  Here are my favorites of that 30 minutes.
